Calling all levels of runners and walkers for the 5th Annual Harlem One-Miler! This event brings the community together for a morning race/jog/walk/skip/shuffle in Harlem. No experience is required.
Heats will begin at 9:00 AM and will run every 30 minutes. Our new location will be in East Harlem, on Randall’s Island. Enjoy the views of the bustling city, as we escape to our very own island oasis. Still one mile, and even more fun.
(notice: route is subject to slight changes w/o notice; finalized route to be revealed race week)
Date: Sunday, June 16, 2019 (Father’s Day)
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Randall’s Island
There will be six heats of one mile each, split by age, run pace, and gender, with the final heat being a fun run the whole family can do together. Kids who are only running in the family heat are discounted so that the whole family can afford to run together.
Your start time will be determined by your expected one mile finish time. There will be NO registration on race morning.

Teenagers can run in the timed race and qualify for a prize! To do so, register as a "Timed Teen Runner." If you're a teen who only wants to run in the family run, go ahead and register as a child. Kids under 6 can participate in the family race for free.
There is no one definition of family, so if you want to do this with one or more people, please do. This heat will not be timed, but you will still need a race number. And if you want to do the timed run and then join your family for the walk, you can use the same bib and you don't need to pay again. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot.
This year, we are partnering with YOU to help make the Harlem One-Miler even more accessible. By sponsoring a runner (or two!), you'll enable us to invite kids from local schools and homeless, low-income, or at-risk Harlem United clients to participate. Spread the joy of fitness and community with us.
From World Record holder Ida Keelig, to Shuga Cain from Ru Paul’s Drag Race on VH1, to the Academy Award winning director Spike Lee, the community turns out for this race. We looking forward to seeing you there, too.
